As we bring our community-based laundry model to the UK, we’re looking for local Laundry Ladies and Lads who want to build something of their own, on their own terms.
This isn’t a side hustle or a bit of pocket money. It’s a genuine opportunity for women’s economic participation: a way to turn a skill you already have into a business that fits around the life you’re already living.
What is a Laundry Partner?
A Laundry Partner is a local person, not a faceless logistics service, who collects, washes and returns laundry for customers in their own community. Where some competitors route your washing through a commercial facility and a van network, every Laundry Lady or Lad runs their own patch. You set the areas you cover, the hours you work and the pace you grow at.
It’s a market-based solution to a problem every household has, delivered by real people your customers get to know and trust.
Flexible Work Built Around School Hours and Caregiving
For many primary caregivers, the barrier to work isn’t ability. It’s structure. Traditional jobs assume you’re free from nine to five, five days a week. Laundry Partner work assumes the opposite: that you know your own hours better than anyone else does.
Whether you’re working around school drop-off and pick-up, caring for a family member, or juggling study and other commitments, you decide when you’re available and how many customers you take on. Growth is entirely up to you. Some Partners run it as a steady, modest local round; others build it into a full business over time.
Where We’re Recruiting
We’re building our first communities of Laundry Partners in Greater Manchester and the West Midlands, including Salford, Didsbury, Chorlton, Stockport, Trafford and Bury around Manchester, and Solihull, Wolverhampton, Coventry and Sutton Coldfield around Birmingham. We’re also looking further afield, including West Yorkshire and beyond, as our community grows.

Every Laundry Partner is running a business on their own terms, not clocking in for a shift. You set your own pricing structure within the platform, build relationships with repeat customers in your area, and grow your round as demand allows. Across our other markets, the majority of Laundry Partners are women, and most are primary caregivers, proof that flexible, respected work builds a stronger connection to a business than gig-style piecework ever does.
Because it’s a genuinely two-sided model, this works for customers too: their time comes back to them, and that time back is exactly what makes it possible to pay you fairly for building your own income around your own life.
Why We’re Different
Most laundry apps are logistics businesses first: you’re a driver or a facility slot in a route. The Laundry Lady is the opposite. We exist because a real local person caring for your washing is worth more than a van and a warehouse. For customers, that means trust, consistency and a face they recognise. For Partners, it means the relationships, and the earning potential, stay with you, not a logistics algorithm.
We’re also building a presence in laundry care many established UK services underserve, from careful handling of delicate items to the kind of attentive ironing that a commercial facility rarely bothers with.
